Sean was born on September 2, 1947 in Salt Lake City. She attended Olympus High School and Westminster College in Salt Lake City, and thereafter, the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Art. She was a practicing commercial artist in New York City and a long-term member of the Fairfax Hunt in Northern Virginia.
Sean will be remembered as a talented artist (paintings and sculptures) and avid equestrian, as well as for her keen eye for interior design, sartorial style, and her love of animals, specifically, her twelve horses (Thoroughbreds, Thoroughbred crosses, and a European warm blood), twelve dogs (Chow Chows, Papillons, and a Goldendoodle), and hundreds of resident Barn Swallows during her lifetime. Sean also was associated with Essex Hunt, the Chagrin Valley Hunt and the Tewksbury Foot Bassets.
Sean was born to the late Harold Thorton Stevens and June Lloyd Stevens. She was the oldest of five siblings, including Mark L. Stevens, Lacey Anne Stevens Ence, the late Brett Benjamin Stevens, and the late Cary C. Jones.
The family respectfully requests no flowers or gifts. There will be no public memorial service. May we honor Sean’s life by showing kindness to each other and to animals. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved her.
