Theresa Joyce Nero

The center of Joyce Nero’s life was her family. For 67 years, she was the devoted wife of Fred D. Nero (deceased). Joyce was the beloved mother of Dr. Julie Nero, Kathleen Caserio (Nick) De Franco (Ralph T.), and Kimberly (deceased) Gase (David).

Joyce was the beloved grandmother of Nicholas Caserio (Kathleen), Michael Caserio (Roxann), and Joseph Gase. “Nonnie” never missed a school game, birthday, graduation, or Super Bowl. She was also the great grandmother of five: Nicholas and Kathleen’s daughters, Whitley, Chatham and Charleston, and Michael and Roxann’s children Miahbella and Michael.

Born in Cleveland in 1937, Joyce, the youngest of three, was the daughter of Sebastiano and Julia Samueli (Strizzi). Joyce’s sister, Eleanor Samueli Ludwin and her brother Louis are deceased.

Beloved as an aunt, Godmother, and friend, Joyce Nero will be remembered for her quiet manner, beauty, and generosity.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Joyce Nero’s honor

Wednesday, July 1, 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6850 Mayfield Rd, Gates Mills, Ohio.
