I met Bill in 1967. Through the years we never had a problem we could not work out. I will miss Bill. He was a good in my life for many years. Rest in peace dear friend, you have more than earned it.

To all of Bill's family-I'm so sad to hear that Papa passed away. He was certainly one of a kind. I enjoyed spending time with him at family gatherings and on "the strip" many years ago. I'm very sorry for your loss if any of you need anything please let me know.

I makes me sad to hear of Bill passing. I spent many years on the "strip" with him.I haven't seen him in years but he always left an impression on me. Bill, I am so sorry for your loss. This is the time that you feel an emptiness inside. It will get more manageable again.I promise. If you ever need me for anything please don't hesitate to call.

To Jim and his family and Bill's family. How sad to see Bill's death notice in the Plain Dealer today. Of course I remember all the good times we had when you all lived near me in Lyndhurst...lots of Saturdays in the park. I have thought of you all often through the years(and remember you as a student, Jim) and hope Bill is at rest and can be at peace. You and your mom and dad were special to me. I did not know that Bill spent time in Viet Nam....those were difficult years. Most sincerely, Jean Garrett Strojan

Bill was a friend to me and all who knew him for many years. His daily presence "on the strip" has been missed by many since he became homebound. His great tales of work and war were so much fun to hear and now to remember.

When Nixon was telling America that we weren't invading Cambodia, Bill was on leave. He was then re-stationed right where he had been building the road for our troops to INVADE CAMBODIA!!!

He was a wonderful helper when anyone needed anything he had to offer....advice, money or skill. His companionship will be sorely missed by many, certainly by me.
