Arlene was born in Newark, New Jersey to Kate and Jacob Feld. She later moved to New York and, finally, Florida. There she met and married her husband, Abraham Aronowsky, whom she now joins in heaven. She worked as an insurance agent, and even harder as a mother. She instilled in her daughter, Jennifer Aronowsky-Kunkel, a love of reading, the necessity of a good education, and the importance of family and being the best mother possible. Her son-in-law, Edward-Jude Kunkel, will always remember her caring nature for her family and especially her grandchildren, Evan-Jude and Danielle-Hope. Even during her illness, she always remembered her grandchildren and took such joy in their presence. They were sometimes the only ones that could make her smile through the pain. Her love for them was boundless. She leaves behind her hero and sister, Marjorie Ecker, whom she loved beyond measure. Arlene also leaves behind her sister-in-laws, Ethel Feld, Maria Feld, and Sara Chiz, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her loving husband and doting parents, Arlene is reunited with her brothers, Sanford Feld and Louis Feld, her brother-in-laws, Daniel Ecker and Jaime Chiz, and her nephew Kyle Katz.
I know she would want to thank her sister Margy, Heidi and Larry Katz, Erin Katz-Schroeder and Ryan Schroeder for all of their help throughout her life and especially these last few years. She loved each and every one of you beyond measure.
Arlene and her family would also like to thank our extended family, the wonderful women who lovingly provided for her care during the past few years: Merille (Mary) Voltaire, Elianne Rodriguez-Soler, Marlene Rodriguez, and Elaine Rivera. For some, caregiving is a career, but for these ladies, it is a passion. We are forever appreciative of the love you bestowed upon my mother.
My mother always taught me to be a strong and good person. Thank you mom for that. I love you. You are finally at peace and free to dance again.
Services for Arlene will be held on Thursday, June 1st, at 3:30 pm in the Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel at Mount Nebo (Kendall), Miami, FL. Internment immediately after. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please consider a donation to the National Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkinsons.org).
Arrangements under the direction of Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall), Miami, FL.
