I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Baruj. Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
He will always be remembered whenever I look at his wonderful paintings.
Sending you love and strength, Stefanie and Thierry Imholz, Basel

I had the pleasure of representing Baruj at our gallery, for the past 20 years or so. During that time I got to know him and spent some time with him, when I visited Miami. He was a brilliant artist, and a conceptual genius. And a very kind, thoughtful man of great intelligence. I am honored to count him as a friend and will miss him dearly. The earth is now a lesser place without Baruj Salinas gracing it, with his delightful presence.

There are no words for the legacy Baruj has left for all of us that knew him. His unique talent and nature will live on in our hearts. We celebrate the life of a wonderful man and artist that made and impact in so many of us. We're sending you, Marilyn, our most heartfelt condolences. Rafael and Mercy Robayna

A thoughtful and gentle man you were, dear Baruj, and a giant among Cuban painters in exile. The Cuban exiled art world has lost one of its greats. It was my privilege to know you; it is my honor to admire your work; it was a blessing to be helped by you in various exhibition projects. You will be remembered always, and deeply missed. You will always be present from page 168 of the Outside Cuba/Fuera de Cuba book, where you stated:"I will never cease to be Cuban." Now, you belong to eternity.

BARUJ . A great artist, you will always remain in your magnificent paintings for the people to admire. My condolences to your wife Marilyn and the grandchildren. Your teaching and friendship will always be within me.

  Rest in peace 🖌️

I took a painting class with Baruj at MDC. It was my first one. I was so amazed and inspired by Baruj, I can only hope to have lived a life so full of passion to still be working / teaching others what I love well into my later years. He was sharper than me in that class and always was happy, calm, encouraging, greeted everyone and remembered everyone's names. The class was just last year! I hope he passed peacefully, just as sharp as ever to the very end.

May we all live such an inspiring life.

Wherever and whenever I contacted you, you always asked if I was still painting. You were genuinely happy when I answered YES!

Keep on painting, Baruj.

I know where ever you are, you’ll be painting.

You are missed

He was my painting teacher at Miami Dade. Always very kind and supportive. Very happy to know him.

Sientimos mucho la perdida de Baruj! Nuestra familia ha estado sempre muy unida a los Salinas. Les deseamos pronta resignacion. Un abrazo, Los Menendez.

In memory of a beloved friend of our younger years. We will never forget the happy times or the somber ones. Our walls are full of your works. Rest in peace dear friend.

Le prodige de ce grand départ qu’on appelle la mort, c’est que ceux qui partent ne s’éloignent point. Ils sont dans un monde de clarté, mais ils assistent, témoins attendris, à notre monde des ténèbres. Ils sont en haut et tout près.
Victor Hugo.

To you, Baruj, my dear friend and mentor I want to express my gratitude on this sad day.

Your guidance, friendship and positive spirit will always be with me.
