Bette Gilman Shoor, beloved wife of the late Robert Shoor, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2015. A gifted mezzo soprano (contralto) with a voice of "cello-like" quality, Bette gave her gift of song to audiences at the New York Metropolitan Opera House, in Italy, France and Haiti. She was the voice of "Gloria" on CBS Sunday "Hour of Charm," and made appearances in "Cocoon" and in numerous commercials. Bette was an avid supporter of the arts, a charming entertainer and golfer who greatly enjoyed lobster rolls and chocolates! Born in Arlington, Massachusetts, Bette resided in Palm Beach until her death. She is the beloved mother of Nancy (Howard) Farber - Coral Springs, Barry (Robin Wolfe) Shoor - Miami, adored grandmother of David (Helen) Farber - Miami, Leslie (Bryan) Bernstein of Coral Springs, and beloved grandmother of Blaire & Laurel Shoor, Samantha & Kaitlyn Bernstein and Natalie, Sabrina & Hailey Farber. Bette will be missed and always be in our hearts.
