Bianca was born in Warsaw, Poland, July 2, 1929 to Arnold and Stefania Perlmutter. She was a Holocaust survivor and after the war she miraculously met up with family in England and then moved to New York where she lived in Brooklyn with her late husband Louis Lerner and two children Arnold and Susan. In 1984 she moved from New York to Miami to be near her beloved new granddaughter, Marissa.
Bianca cherished her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking wonderful meals for them and helping them in any way she could. She was grateful to her daughter Susan and son-in-law Steve for their care in the later stages of her life.
As a Holocaust survivor, she dedicated much of her time in Miami sharing her story with local schools.
She is survived by Steve and Susan Berlin, Arnold and Marie Lerner, and Adam and Marissa Spivak.
A celebration of her life will be shared by family and friends on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Riverside at Mount Nebo Kendall, 5900 SW 77th Ave., at 3 p.m.
Bianca was a participant in the Holocaust Student Service Internship Program at the University of Miami. Donations in her memory may be made to support the program’s Leave a Legacy Luncheon. If you are interested please contact Barbara Davis at [email protected].
