Erik was a very good friend of our family , we traveled together and spent many poker games having fun . His laughter was contagious  and his kind spirit can never be forgotten . Happy heavenly Erik. Gone way to soon from all of us. I pray your parents have had the strength to continue because that is what you would have wanted .  I used to tease pokey , as I would tenderly call him about the color of his pepto  house . He used to say blame mom. To your family we say “ May G_D grant you strength and peace in knowing there is no more suffering for Erik. “ We love and miss him Vegas cries for your absence .

Hi My name is Jon I was Eric's friend although I might not make it, Eric had many friends over the years because of hi kindness, empathy, and understanding, I was truly devastated when I heard the news, the world lost a golden soul.

Eric was a sweet person who absolutely was bright and full of life. For the last 20 years we have been friends. He was a student of my mothers Iris Katz and that’s how we first met. We both shared a huge love for card playing which led us to playing poker together for many years both in Miami and when we traveled together to Las Vegas. His loss will be felt by his family and his friends for a very long time. God rest his soul eternally and in peace. With lots of love from the entire Katz Family. Joel, Iris , Andres, Arlyn, Kayla and myself Harry Samson.

Eric was a good friend. Eric was such an intelligent person. He was an avid role-playing gamer and lover of card games.  He introduced me to so many different types of games and people. There was a darkest time in my life, and frankly my friends struggled to get me to be happy. Eric said something really funny, and out of pocket to me to get me out of my depression. I don't think he ever knew how much that sentence meant to me or how it changed my life, and I regret that our lives took seperate paths.  I should have been a better friend and will miss him. I did not know Eric well, but spoke to him at length often on the telephone.  He had Ed's wonderful sense of humor and was an intelligent man.  I will miss my conversations with him.  We are so sorry for your loss and know well how much he will be missed.
