Frances Lomaskin, 93, was born in New York on May 1, 1920 to Julius and Beatrice Cohen. She attended Hunter College and received a Master's Degree at Columbia University. She has been a Miami resident since 1952. She taught math for 19 years mostly at Glades Middle School. She was a lifelong learner and was active for 25 years in the OLLI program. She is pre-deceased by her husband Ted and her son Mark.
She leaves behind her daughter, Mira Platt of Hollywood; daughter-in-law, Amy Lomaskin (Mel Tenen) of Miami, and grandchildren, Bree (Chris) Lichtenberg, Teddy (Yanet) Platt, Jenna Plat, Miriam Lomaskin and Tod Lomaskin The world has lost a wonderful person and the family has lost their true Matriarch.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 1st at 3 PM at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25th Street, Miami, FL 33172 (305 592 0690)
