

In Memoriam: Glen Z Goldberg August 25th, 1947 – August 14th, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glen Z Goldberg, a distinguished attorney and pillar of the legal community in Miami, Florida. Glen's journey through life was marked by his unwavering commitment to justice, his indomitable spirit, and his remarkable contributions to the field of law. He left us on August 14th, 2023, leaving behind his loving wife Esther of 47 years, Daughter Jodi Berk (Andrew), Son Seth Goldberg (Lisa), 5 adoring grandchildren Ben and Alex Berk, and Ethan, Noah and Liya Goldberg and a tremendous network of friends and family that loved him dearly.
Born August 25, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, Glen exhibited a profound curiosity and aptitude for the law from an early age. He pursued this passion relentlessly, culminating in his graduation from University of Miami Law School with honors.
Glen's legal career spanned several decades, during which he gained a reputation as a formidable litigator and a staunch advocate for the rights of his clients in some of the largest personal injury and medical malpractice cases in the history of South Florida.
Together with his nephews Judd and Brett Rosen, Glen co-founded Goldberg & Rosen, a law firm that quickly established itself as a beacon of hope for those seeking legal assistance. The firm's commitment to providing personalized attention and unwavering support to each client mirrored Glen's own principles. His leadership and expertise guided the firm to become one of Miami's most respected law firms with 16 attorneys and a staff of over 40 people.
Glen's influence extended beyond the courtroom. He was a frequent contributor to legal discussions in the media, including a weekly Miami radio show called “ask the attorney” where his insightful commentary often shed light on complex legal matters for the public. His appearances on various news outlets showcased his ability to distill intricate legal concepts into understandable terms, solidifying his reputation as a legal expert.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Glen was a beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, friend, colleague, and mentor. He possessed a warm demeanor that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. An avid golfer, he loved spending time golfing with friends in both Miami and Westhampton, New York. Glen was a passionate sports fan and enjoyed watching his beloved UM Hurricane’s, and was a long-time season ticket holder of the Miami Heat.
Glen's passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by his colleagues, clients, and his loving family. His enduring legacy will undoubtedly continue through the firm he helped build and the lives he touched.
A memorial service to honor Glen Z Goldberg's life and contributions will be held on August 17th, 2023, at 2PM at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo/Kendall Memorial Gardens 5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143.
