Irving J. Whitman, 94, son of Abraham and Bess passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2015. Loving Husband, Father, Father-in-Law, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. Predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Fay, daughter Justine Wolfe and brother Herb.
He was the proud father of Dianne Glick, Ruth Gordon and Justine Wolfe (deceased). Loving Father-in-law of Judge Leonard E. Glick, Ira Gordon and Mel Wolfe. Adored grandfather of Lisa Spohn (Tony), Lori Mobley (David), Judge Stacy D. Glick (Mark), Adriane Chayoun (Oded) and Aaron Gordon (Becky). Loving great-grandfather of Lennox.
He was a proud WWII Veteran, a retired City of Miami Police Detective and a well-respected attorney. He loved being with his family, his country, traveling, flying his planes and dancing with Fay.The family would like to thank Marva Carlton and Jay for their devoted love and care.
Funeral services followed by Shiva will be at Riverside-Gordon Memorial Chapels / Mt. Nebo 5900 SW 77th Ave Miami FL 33143 on Thursday November 12th, 2015 at 2:30pm.
