Janice Stuart, 91, died of natural causes on December 18th, 2014 in Gainesville, Florida. She was born on August 27, 1923, in Brooklyn, NY. Janice married her husband of more than 50 years, David Stuart in 1939. After WWII, they settled in Roosevelt, NY, and then Freeport, Long Island. In 1971, they moved to Coral Gables, FL and retired in Key Largo twenty years later.
Janice was a loving wife, a devoted sister, and a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved boating, animals, & puzzles, and was sharp and witty until the end. She is survived by her daughter, Francine Riley of High Springs, FL, her son, Scott Stuart of Chevy Chase, MD, grandchildren Rebecca Ciric, Danton Stuart, Melissa Saban, Sara Reed, and Joanna Martinelli, and her beloved dog Wolfie. She was great-grandmother to Davey & Max Ciric, Simon & Mea Stuart, Logan Reed, Beckett Saban, and Dayna Deisley. She was predeceased by her husband David Stuart, sister Doris Hoffman and daughter Roberta Stuart.
"Gram the Great" was the heart of her family, and her dynamic personality will be missed by all who knew her.
