It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Jerome Robinson. Jerome, who was born in Brooklyn and was a long time resident of Miami, passed away in his home on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the age of 97.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph Robinson, sister, Hermine Taramona, two sons, Freddie and Scott Robinson, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He lived a full life having served in the US Army as a paratrooper in the South Pacific during World War II, was a Free Mason, a City of Miami Police Officer, Health Inspector for the City of Miami, Executive Director for the Florida Restaurant Association and Jewelry Salesman for Macy’s Aventura. He enjoyed watching sports particularly football and boxing, bowled and played golf. He enjoyed watching movies especially those from the 1940’s.
His life will be celebrated at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall, 5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143 on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2:00pm.
