The Honorable Leonard Rivkin, 83 of Miami, FL passed away Nov. 14, 2009. He was born September 24, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA. Judge Rivkind is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law with both Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, and Master of Laws degrees. In 1975 he was appointed to the Circuit Court by Governor Askew. From 1991 to 1995 he was Chief Judge of the 11th District Circuit Court of Florida. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, and the recipient of numerous awards andaccolades from organizations throughout South Florida. He is survived by his wife Miriam, daughters Teri (Frank) Stitson and Samantha (Eddie) Manheimer, sons Mark (Susan), Brett (Lisa) and Gregg (Beth), brother Perry Rivkind, sisters Rhoda Golden and Natalie Steinberg, Grandchildren Jack, Zachary, Simon, Paige, Courtney, Devon, Olivia, Sarah, Hillary, and nieces and nephews. Arrangements under the direction of Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel, Miami, FL.
