Martin Jay Darlow, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on October 26, 2024, at the age of 91. Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey, Martin later made Miami, Florida, his home, where he built his life and career.
Martin is survived by his devoted wife of over 30 years, Myriam Darlow. He leaves behind his children: Michael (Debbie) Darlow, Jan (Geno) Buyers, Sandra (Spencer IV) Deno, and Philip Garza III. He was a cherished grandfather to Matthew (Sarah), Melissa, Alyssa, Spencer V, Robyn, Allison, and Lyon, and a proud great-grandfather to his only great-grandchild, Hannah Faye Darlow. Martin is also survived by his twin sisters, Ellen (Simon) Snyder and Linda Dechtenberg and sister-in-law Myra Darlow as well as several nieces and nephews.
A respected businessman, Martin owned and operated Martin J. Darlow & Associates and Darlow Marine Insurance since the early 1980s. Known for his integrity, commitment, and dedication, he built a reputation as a trusted leader in his field.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Fay Darlow, his brothers, Mark and Bob Darlow, and his first wife, Adrienne Adkins Darlow.
Martin’s legacy is defined not only by his professional accomplishments but also by the deep love and loyalty he inspired in his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones.
