The lips of my dad the jokester
were silenced last night ironically
on his 90th birthday, fathers day .
Mort outlived his friends. He was a
fearless ironworker in Manhattan,
N.Y. for 35 years working on
skyscrapers like the twin towers
never fearing heights. He worked
hard always saying, I would do the
work of two men. He retired for 34
years. Mort was an organic
gardener and health food
enthusiast for 60 years. His motto
was a kind, good natured man,
always helping others. He loved to
sing, Happy Days are here again,
and always told you to watch
funny movies and to laugh. As
was, you are what you eat. He
always had everyone laughing. He
you said to me when my pet died
dad, from dust to dust. What a
beautiful life you lived. He is
survived by wife Shirley(Married
63 years) son Jack G. Bernstein,
Esq.(Sherry), daughter, Jane
Landeau (Kenny), and
grandchildren Alyssa, Dara, Blake
and Timothy. He would always
say how proud he was of his grand
children’s accomplishments.
