Silvia and kids:  Please accept the condolences of the entire Filkoff family. The memory of our Cousin Paul will stretch from Miami to Hartford, CT and all points in between.  PLEASE, PLEASE don't allow his departure to cause you to lose touch with our family.  RIP, cousin !!

I worked with Paul for the last almost 7 years in our Mental Health Court. He was a great advocate for his clients, and a great friend. He will be missed!

There are no words... Paul's love and enthusiasm were abundant. I remember walking across the Brooklyn Bridge with all of you...Paul had one eye taking in all the world, with the keenest  enthusiasm, and the other checking on his children the entire time. A lovely man...evident in the close bonds of the talented family he treasured.

Silvia- you and Paul created a wonderful family with so many admirable qualities. Your intelligence, communication, sense of adventure, and depth of openness you have modeled as a couple are truly touching and inspirational. Paul was my training attorney at one point at the Public Defender's Office and I was so saddened to learn of his passing.  Paul was a great man with a wonderful outlook and I was blessed to have known him.  May he rest in peace and his memory live on through his loved ones.

   Paul was my supervising attorney at the Miami-Dade Public Defenders Office for many years. He was very knowledgeable, supportive, and focused.  
   He loved the law, but his greatest love was for his wife Sylvia and his twin children.  Paul was very proud of Sylvia's professional accomplishments as well as the academic achievements of his talented children.  Paul would beam with pride when he talked about their latest achievements.   Paul dreamed of great things for all of them and knew they would achieve them.  
    He loved spending time with his family and sharing the world's wonders with them.  Last year they took a 'trip of a lifetime' to Hong Kong and Paul talked about how wonderful it was for all of them to share this experience.     
   Paul was great to work with and we will miss him.  May he rest in peace.
