Peggy, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Thursday, December 17, at the age of 101. Peggy, daughter of Monte and Fannie Selig, widow of Stuart Gordon, had been a resident of Miami since 1934. She was predeceased by her daughter Judy Gordon and is survived by her children: Jon Gordon (Mary Wassenberg) and Monte Gordon (Beth), four grandchildren: Lisa Gordon, Danny Gordon (Tracie), Stacey Gordon (Scott Nathan), Haley Karl (Daniel Karl ) and three great grandchildren: Joshua Nathan, Michah and Emme Karl. She was a founding member of the Continuum Galley which was established in 1957 by ten women artists who loved abstract art and a shared vision for forming a cooperative gallery. Peggy as well as other group members, displayed their art at the Gallery, sold numerous pieces and, won juried shows in which their art work was being showed. Peggy loved painting, giving outrageous parties, playing bridge and mah jong with her friends. Peggy was buried next to her daughter Judy at a graveside service at Mt. Nebo, 5900 SW 77th Avenue, Miami, FL on Sunday, December 20th.
