I’ll always remember Bob with a big smile and a twinkle in his eyes. He was a warm, wonderful and funny guy. He had a playful sense of humor and loved to tease. He was also a very wise old soul. His outlook on life was very positive despite the horrors he experienced as a very young boy in the the concentration camps. Later in life he did a great service by speaking about his experiences lest the world forget the horrors of the Third Reich. I loved the story about the Red Cross giving the children chocolate bars which the Nazis confiscated soon afterwards. The children quickly learned to eat the candy immediately so the Nazis could not take it from them.
We are all richer for having known Bob. Farewell sweet soul, we shall miss you.

Phyllis , I'm so sorry for your loss. Bob was one of a kind, I think the attendance at his service was proof of that. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
