Mr Ron Esserman gave me the opportunity to work for him.
I was the first and only certified De Lorean tech in 1981 and the first Black service advisor for the Nissan,/ BMW /Acura stores,
He sold me all of his electric bikes
(Ebike ) inventory from all his dealerships, which gave me a great start for my business.
The Ebike products were founded by Lee Iacocca former CEO of Chrysler which was passed on to me in 2005 .
I was the first and only black electric vehicle dealer in the USA.

It is with great sadness we learned of Ron's Passing. He was brilliant, kind, philathropic and a good friend. He was a community man and was a person who enriched his community by his presence. It is our hope that Charlene, Laura, Susan, Lisa and Jim and their respective spouses and families, will always be able to cherish their special memories of him. May you all go from strength to strength and know he will be with you always, Love, Lonnie and Chuck Kantor

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Esserman Family.

It was just two days ago that I was speaking about Ron and how he influenced our lives, to my wife Christine. Since I have not seen him in sometime, we looked him up and like always, read of his charitable giving and commitment to making the world a better place for those in need. Ron was and always will be one of the best men I have ever met both personally and professionally. His demeanor, commitment, drive and dedication to his people set the bar high for all of us to shoot for. If it were not for Ron and Dick Assmar giving me an opportunity in my 20's I would not be where I am today. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

Rest In Peace Mr. Esserman

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Esserman Family during this time. I was beyond blessed to work for Ron Esserman, under the leadership of Dick Assmar, for over 20 years. Mr. Esserman was the most respected, honest, hard working businessman and employer I have ever known. He stood for something, believed in it and instilled the same values in his employees. I am confident any one that has ever worked within the businesses he has built would say the same. The Eagle and what it stood for was the mark of a leader in his dealerships and his strive for Excellence poured out into his staff. He will be greatly missed and did indeed leave a Legacy to all those who were blessed to have known him.
