

2015. He was born on June 9, 1925 in New York. He served his country in the
army during World War II and was a prisoner of war in Germany earning the
Purple Heart and Silver Star.
Saul moved to Miami with his family in 1960 and shortly after established his
business "Gelb Monuments, Inc.", which he ran successfully for many years. His
business was well known in the Jewish community of south Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn and his two daughters Ferris Shenker (Charles)
and Marcie Haller (Kenneth) and was predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis. Saul is
also survived by six grandchildren and their spouses, Brian Shenker (Lora),
Mitchell Haller (Nicole), Keri Pearl (Matthew), Gregory Haller (Kim), Chad Haller
(Logan) and Dustin Haller (Nicole) and was the very proud great-grandfather of
twelve: Jackson, Cooper, Avery, Brady, Sawyer, Owen, Brynn, London, Peyton,
Dylan, Penelope and Ellie.
Saul Gelb was a shining example to his loving family and will be sorely missed. His
humor and generosity will be remembered by all who knew him and his legacy
will live on through his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, August 2,2015 at Riverside-Gordon Mt.
Nebo Kendall at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The
Leukemia Lymphoma Society or to The American Diabetes Association.
