A dear friend and co-worker of years past... Rest in Peace. Prayers to your family.

It is with great sadness that I have just discovered this devastating news of my closest and best childhood friend, Sheila Anne Murray, who I have been searching for so diligently over the last five years. She and I grew up in Virginia Beach, VA during the time her father was stationed at Oceana Naval Air Station.  I could write books about our wonderful times together as we shared those innocent and carefree years of childhood.  As I read the obituary regarding her lifelong involvement in special events in and around Miami, I recalled how she and I would set up huge stage events in her backyard, inviting the entire neighborhood to watch our entertaining, home grown musicals.  Funny, I, without her knowledge, ultimately went into the special events business myself here in Virginia Beach.  She and I spent hours one year combing our community for 50 different wildflowers that we carefully flattened and taped into a scrapbook for her school science project.  I'll never forget the first time I saw her after she returned from London with her family.  She was probably 16 or 17 years old at the time.  During the four years she and her family lived in London, she had grown into the most beautiful girl I had ever seen.  She was tall, slim and had straight, long black hair down to her waist.  I am heartbroken, after reading the amazing guest book comments from her friends, family and acquaintances, that I didn't have the opportunity to be part of her full and rich life. Sadly, I have visited the Miami Art Show in Coconut Grove many times through the years not knowing she lived in that very same city. May God bless Sheila's entire family with his love, comfort and healing. Thank you, Sheila, for the most beautiful memories of my childhood.  I will be forever grateful...until we meet again.
