Alfred was born on February 23, 1946 to VJ Bolinger in Jefferson, MO.
Alfred proudly served his country for 24 years as a sailor in the United States Navy, reaching the rank of CWO4, traveling the world with his wife, and serving as a veteran in the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Navy in 1988 he worked as a defense contractor before retiring in the early 2000s with medical issues and to spend time with grandkids.
He spent his retirement doing what he loved most, spending time with his wife and grandchildren, spreading love and joy with every word and kind gesture. You would walk in the door to his family home and you wouldn’t make it past the foyer without being offered a drink, a chocolate chip cookie, or a caramel candy.
He was predeceased by his mother VJ and is survived by his beloved wife Candy, his son Dan (Amanda) Wendorff, and his 5 grandchildren Skyler, Brayden, Zachary, Kami, and Amelia.
Memorial service with full military honors will be held at 1 PM on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, Florida.
