Alnetta Emmeline Whitaker, age 87, of Middleburg, Florida passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. She was born in Kensington, Ohio to the late Lester and Emily Ramsey. She was predeceased by her husband of 10 years, Jerry Whitaker; brother, Gary Ramsey; and 2 sisters: Sandra Ramsey and Helen Gay Rochel.
She never met a person she couldn’t talk to. Everyone that knew her loved her. She was a very forgiving and compassionate person. She always made others feel welcome in her presence. She enjoyed playing cards and putting puzzles together. She found great joy and comfort with her church family. She shared lots of laughter with her friends playing bingo at the Senior Center and getting ice cream at the Dreamette. She will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed.
Alnetta is survived by her children: Paul E. Frey, Paula (Charles) Clow, John H. (Teresa) Frey Jr., Patricia (Jeff) Pafford, Jodi (Grady Martin) Frey; father of her children: John H. Frey; brother, Curtis Ramsey; sisters: Carole Lawson, Linda Parker, and Pamela Goldsberry; loved by an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends 6-8 PM on Wednesday February 28, 2024 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, February 29, 2024 at South Middleburg Baptist Church, 4565 Alligator Blvd, Middleburg, FL. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
