Angelo was born March 24th, 1945 to John and Francis Chiapputo in Hartford, Connecticut. He attended Buckley High School, graduating in 1964. Angelo met his future bride Doris Masters at Stop and Shop where he worked as a stocker and she as a cashier. They married April 16th, 1966 at St Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church. Angelo trained to be a truck driver and spent 30+ years being an Owner/ Operator for D & A Trucking. After spending years burning up the asphalt between Connecticut and Florida, Angelo and Doris decided to move their family to Florida. From 1979 to 2000, they lived in Ormond Beach. They then moved to Jacksonville in 2000. Although Angelo took great pleasure in telling people that he was a bank robber that had to retire when his health failed and he could no longer get away quick enough to not get caught.
Angelo was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Doris “Doobie” Chiapputo and his son Richard Chiapputo. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Rawlins (Harrell), Daughter-in-law Jessica Chiapputo, three grandsons, Garrett Morrison-Perrell, Nicholas Chiapputo and Rider Chiapputo; two granddaughters, Shelby Lynn Morrison and Morgan Hackett; and one great granddaughter, Haven.
