BARDON, BARBARA LEE GRIFFITH Known to her family as “Me-Ma”, passed away August 9, 2018 at the age of 93. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Owen John Bardon. They were married for 59 years.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida September 30, 1924 to parents David Bevier and Gertrude Krauss Bevier and later adopted on July 31, 1930 by Florence and Ralph Griffith.
She was a graduate of Lee High School and worked for F.T. Kelly Co., as well as State Farm Insurance prior to her retirement.
She is survived by three daughters: Mary Cecelia Bardon Champney (Gary), Catherine Ann Bardon Knight (Edward), Patricia Joan Bardon Lambert (Tom-deceased) Her grandchildren include Dena Champney Peachey (Glenn) whose children are John, Mark, Owen and Logan. Mark Allen Champney (Jodi) with daughter Caroline and son Cole. Timothy John Champney (Lindsey) with daughters Cora and Holly. Barbara Jean Parnell Bickhart (Robbie). Raymond Parnell (Stacey) with son Seth and daughter Makayla. Gina Lynn Knight. Edward D. Knight II (Ann-Marie) with son Ryder and daughter Addyson. Wendi Knight (Ryan) with daughter Ella.
