I have memories of Barbara from when we moved to Northern Virginia, and I was a young teenager. Barbara and Jim were close friends of my parents, Lillian and Bill Dauphin. Bill and Jim met while in the Navy and both couples remained friends. I babysat Barbee in St. Petersburg in the penthouse, took her to a concert in Orlando the summer of 1979? , and worked for Barbara in her interior design firm. Barbara and my mom continued to be friends until my moms death in 2006. Barb was at my wedding and we were at Barbee’s. Barb eventually moved into a house just a few miles from my mom in Maitland area of Florida. She and my mom were always the life of the party and gorgeous and glamorous in the process. Barbara was my idol, I always wanted to be like her and do what she did. She was so creative and always had a flair, in addition to being the consummate BOSS, and excellent nose for business. Rest In Peace dear Barbara, thanks for the inspiration, friendship, and love you showed my mom. Cheers to you and Lil organizing and arranging the grandest soirées together with friends and family in heaven. Barbee and family, I’m so sorry for your loss. With my love, Debbi
