Carmen Nazario, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and devoted family matriarch, was born in November 1941 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, to the late Geronimo and Nicolasa Nazario. She peacefully transitioned on July 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Carmen was a strong, caring, and devoted woman whose greatest joy was her family. In her younger years, she followed the vision of her sisters and moved from Puerto Rico to the United States. After briefly returning to Puerto Rico, she came back to the United States and eventually settled in Florida with her family.
Carmen dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. She treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took great pride in being the heart of her family. She enjoyed crocheting, cruising the seas, spending time with family, and celebrating her beloved Puerto Rican heritage.
Carmen is preceded in death by her parents, Geronimo and Nicolasa Nazario, and her beloved son, Edgardo Garcia.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Deborah Sabater; grandchildren, Cynthia (Caitlin), William (Tiffany), and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Steven, Jonathan, Bryan, Leyla, Gabriel, Nylah, and Amora; great-great-grandchild, Amora; and a host of loving family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Carmen's love, strength, and devotion created a legacy that will continue through the generations. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Visitation will be held on August 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, Florida 32068. A graveside service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. at Holly Hill Memorial Park, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, Florida 32068.
