Charles Lee Herron, 83, passed away on November 6, 2014 in St. Augustine, FL. He was born in Swain County, NC and resided in Middleburg, FL. Mr. Herron was a member of Grace Missionary Church, Green Cove Springs, FL and retired from the US Army after 23 years of dedicated service. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Hazel Herron; 3 sons: Charles “Chuck” (Sherrie) Herron Jr., Clyde (Dean) Herron and Claude (Tammy) Herron; 4 daughters: Wren (David) Holloway, Rita (Larry) Liston, Anna Thatcher and Chrystal (Matthew) Strong; a step-son, Dennis Leverette; 2 step-daughters: Cindy (Johnny) Smith and Donna (Bo) Turner; brother, Theodore Herron; 36 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, November 10, 2014 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Rd, Middleburg, FL with Pastor Delton Kilpatrick officiating.
