Darlene Anette Allen, 54, passed away peacefully, and with family, February 11, 2015. She was born December 27, 1960 in Chickasaw, Alabama. Darlene retired from Nursing in 2011, where she spent the majority of her adult life helping others. When she wasn't serving others, she was serving her family.
Darlene is survived by her son; Joe Allen, sisters; Linda Sands and Sheryl Kelley, brother; Tony Wilson, and last love; Kenneth Miller. She is predeceased by her husband of 32 years Ted Allen and parents Ruby Wilson and Doyle Nix.
Darlene was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will best be remembered for her heart, selflessness, and unwavering passion to serve others.
Her funeral services will begin with a viewing on Sunday, February 15, from 6pm to 8pm, at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg Florida. Her service will be the following day, Monday, February 16, at 1pm, also at Holly Hill.
Darlene will then be transported to Serenity Gardens Funeral Home located at 8691 Old Pascagoula Road in Theodore Alabama. The services there with begin with a viewing on Wednesday, February 18, from 5pm-8pm, followed by a service the following morning on Thursday, February 19, at 10am. From there she will be escorted to Grand Bay Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her Husband.
