Donald James Tenbusch, 91, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 7, 2026. He was born February 5, 1935, in Minden City, Michigan, to Alfonse and Beatrice Tenbusch.
Donald joined the United States Navy at the age of 17 and served for 20 years before retiring, a reflection of a life shaped by steady commitment and quiet devotion to duty. In 1980, he began his civilian career at N.A.S. Jax NADEp, FRC, J52 and E/E shop, continuing his work there until retiring in 2016 at the age of 81. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Middleburg since 1987.
On January 24, 1979, Donald married his wife, Annie, and they shared 47 wonderful years together. In the rhythms of everyday life, he found genuine contentment—working in his yard and workshop, feeding the birds and squirrels, and spending time with family and his dog, Bear.
