Donald Eugene Walsingham passed on July 5, 2026, at the age of 89, and was a resident of Middleburg, Florida. Born January 8, 1937, in Chipley, Florida, Donald was the son of the late Stella Mae (Creamer) and Bert Franklin Walsingham. He will be remembered as a beloved and cherished presence—steadfast in faith, generous in spirit, and quietly inspirational through a life marked by hard work, courage, and devotion to those he loved.
Donald proudly served in the United States Air Force, a reflection of the brave and faithful heart that guided him throughout his years. A master carpenter by trade, he approached his work with care and diligence, offering his skills with the same steady reliability that defined his life. His adventurous spirit found joy in the simple pleasures he loved most—being an avid fisherman, enjoying Old Westerns, and collecting Western memorabilia.
A lifelong member of Black Pond Baptist Church, Donald’s faith was not only professed, but lived. Humble in manner and generous with his time, he was proud to assist in two church remodels over the years, serving his church family with quiet dedication. With the spirit of his Lord always in his heart, Donald was often heard humming a tune—an enduring, gentle reminder of the peace he carried within. He also delighted in spoiling his grandchildren and was known to keep candy in his pocket for them, a small tradition that spoke volumes about his warmth and love.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine “Tina” Walsingham, after 59 years of marriage and his brother Fred Walsingham. He is survived by his loving and devoted sons, Darrin Walsingham (KJ) and Clayton Walsingham (Lynda); grandchildren, Amie Sierocinski, Adam (Amanda) Tucker, Jerrith (Amber) Barnhart, Mariah (Ryan) Barnette, Caleb (Cosa) Walsingham, Kendall Walsingham, Cheyanne Walsingham, and Chandler Walsingham; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Johns and Betty Ann Shaw; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a large church family.
