Frank Joseph Oliastro

Frank Joseph Oliastro, age 40, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026. Born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, Frank was the beloved son of Terry Lee Oliastro and Yvonne Ann Cortes. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, family member, and friend whose curiosity, creativity, and appreciation for life touched everyone who knew him.

Frank had a deep love for music. A gifted self-taught musician, he taught himself to play acoustic and bass guitar and drums, finding joy and expression through each instrument. He loved attending concerts and music festivals, and his musical tastes reflected his free-spirited personality, with punk rock and the music of Bob Marley among his favorites.

Frank was happiest when he was connected to the natural world. He loved the great outdoors, camping, hiking, and simply spending time outside. He enjoyed throwing his boomerang and playing hacky sack, and he had a genuine appreciation for the beauty and wonder of nature. He was also deeply interested in natural foods and healthy living, often making his own breads. Frank had a green thumb and took great pride and pleasure in tending to his personal garden.

A lifelong gamer, Frank enjoyed both video games and computer games, embracing the creativity, challenge, and adventure they offered. Whether he was playing music, working in his garden, exploring the outdoors, enjoying a concert, or spending time with those he loved, Frank brought his own unique spirit and enthusiasm to everything he did.

Above all, Frank loved his family. His memory will be cherished by his father, Terry Lee Oliastro, and his mother, Yvonne Ann Cortes; his brother, Brian Anthony Oliastro and sister-in-law, Melanie Oliastro; his niece, Alicia Nicole Oliastro; and his nephew, Aaron Thomas Oliastro. He is also survived by a host of loving family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Alvin Oliastro.

Frank's life was a reflection of the things he loved most: music, nature, creativity, family, and the simple pleasures of being outdoors. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain with those who knew him. May he rest peacefully, surrounded forever by the beauty of the natural world he loved so much.

A Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068, on August 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1606 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg, FL 32068, on August 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Additional services and burial will be scheduled in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, at a later date.
