Gary was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He and his wife, Tammy, met when she was 5 and he was 8 and were inseparable for over 59 years. He faced many battles throughout his life and was always able to keep his sense of humor. He enjoyed singing, home country cooking, and family "get togethers." Gary was a talented salesman and an early pioneer of exterior house cleaning long before pressure washers were invented. He could always be counted on for those cheesy jokes that were so endearing. We will miss him tremendously and all of his sayings like " That food was killer" and "You better know it."
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Ree Bland, his father, Willie Oscar Bland, his two brothers, Billy and David Bland, and his wife of 49 years, Tammy Lee Bland. He is survived by his sons Gary "Ben" Bland (Sonia), Adam R. Bland (Jenny), his daughter Teresa Bland, his two sisters Ann Grooms and Vickie Olier (Gerald), his brother Greg Bland (Sandra), his grandchildren: Matthew, Kyle, Blake, Rachel, Tyler, Alyssa, Kayden and many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
