George W. Head

George W. Head, 82, passed away on February 9, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jacksonville, FL and retired from the Duval and Clay County School Boards. He loved to spend time with his family and to go fishing. Mr. Head was predeceased by his wife, Gail Head and 2 grandsons: Joey Curtis and Christopher Walker. George was survived by his four daughters: Deborah H. Lee, Beatrice Sheree (Joe) Curtis, Jean H. Graham and Vikki H. (Danny) Padgett; 8 grandchildren: George (Jennifer) Wilson, Gail (Chris) Cole, Samantha (Doug) Lamborn; Randy (Meredith) Walker, Payton (Katie) Padgett, Mark (Tracy) Padgett, Jackie (Danielle) Padgett and Carrie (Gary) Hubbard; grand daughter-in-law, April Walker; 14 great grandchildren: Kristophe Wilson, Zoey Wilson, Brody Lamborn, Ethan Walker, Hailey Padgett, Savannah Padgett, Ariel Padgett, Katlin Padgett, Gracie Padgett, Paisley Padgett, Benson Padgett, Hope Padgett, Lanken Lewis and Danielle Lewis; a great-great grandson, Xavian Lewis; and a host of extended family and friends. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Rd, Middleburg, FL. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, February 14, 2020 at Black Pond Baptist Church, 3644 Old Jennings Rd, Middleburg, FL with Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating.
