Gerald Douglas Bryans Sr.

Gerald Douglas Bryans (Jerry), age 83 of Middleburg Fl, passed away on Friday August 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 11, 1942, in Buffalo NY, the son of Frank and Vivian (McHale) Bryans. Jerry was raised in Buffalo until he moved with his family to Tampa Fl where he attended high school. It was there where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Kathy (Klein) on September 7, 1963 and we know he is overjoyed to finally be reunited with her. He served in the United States Airforce and retired from the United States Postal Service after several years of employment. Jerry and Kathy relocated to Hendersonville NC to enjoy their retirement years. Jerry was a devout Catholic and was involved in many ministries at Immaculate Conception Church in Hendersonville. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and served as a lay minister for the homebound and prison ministry. Jerry relocated to Middleburg FL to be closer to his son, Jerry, in 2023.

Preceding Jerry in death are his wife of 44 years, Kathy; his parents, Frank and Vivian; brother Jeffrey Bryans and sister Mary Boye. Surviving are his children; Jerry (Debbie) Bryans of Middleburg FL., Gail (Kevin) Parquette of Raleigh NC., Sean (Erika) Bryans of Pace FL., Timothy (Elizabeth) Bryans of Spartanburg SC., Jennifer (Christopher) Prager of Hendersonville NC., Robin Bryans of Cornelius NC., Jeff (Lisa) Bryans of Hendersonville NC., and Jessica Riley of Concord NC. Sisters Karen Uhlberg, Kathy (Bob) Ohrling, and Kelly (Will) Scheifen and 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 22, 2025 at 10:30 am at St. Luke Catholic Church located at 1606 Blanding Blvd. Middleburg, FL 32068.
