Geri was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Daisy (Monin) Flowers and Samuel Flowers and was the oldest of two children. She married John Paul Rucker on December 25, 1940 and was the mother of seven children. Geri spent most of her life raising her children and enjoying the University of Louisville sports. She attended Southeast Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother (Jack Flowers), and three of her children, John Michael Rucker, Paula Jean (Rucker) Hawkins and Linda Susan (Rucker) Shirley.
She is survived by four sons, Noel Bruce Rucker (Karen), Anthony Alan Rucker (Becki), David Blaine Rucker (Karen) and Daryl Scott Rucker (Sandy); 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
There will be a private family service held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Louisville, Kentucky on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.
