Tommy accepted the Lord as his Savior fifty-five years ago at Calvary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, under the ministry of Emanuel Morris. Throughout his life, he faithfully served the Lord in several churches, including Bible Baptist Church in Callahan, Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Berean Baptist Church in Orange Park, and Bible Baptist Church of Mandarin.
For the past 34 years, he was a faithful member of First Coast Baptist Church in Jacksonville, where he sang bass in the choir for many years and faithfully served in children’s ministry and AWANA.
In 1977, Tommy founded Florida Industrial Battery, Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida, which he successfully led for forty years.
His greatest joy in life was his family. He gave of himself sacrificially to provide for their needs and found deep fulfillment in helping others. He truly embodied the belief that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
Tommy loved singing and listening to gospel music and enjoyed drag racing—both watching and participating—as well as fishing and spending time with friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Children’s Ministry and AWANA program at First Coast Baptist Church, 7587 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32244.
