Harriett Bower Roepke, 93, passed away May 8, 2019. She was born April 1, 1926 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and resided in Clay Hill at the time of her passing. She was a barber for over 50 years owning shops in Orange Park, Flagler and Bunnell. Harriett had many other business interests and talents she pursued through the years. She became a licensed real estate broker so she could buy and sell properties. She held the mortgage, which allowed many people that could not qualify, to own a home. Another of her talents was upholstering. She turned that into a part time business for many years. Harriett loved the beach and the mountains and owned homes and property close to both during her life. Harriett is survived by her loving family, her daughters; June (Danny) Frisbee, Suzanne Tamplen, step-daughters; Faye (Steve) Infinger and Marilyn ( Robert) Harpin and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Michael Gant, husbands Victor Roepke and Lionel Hughes, her sister Ruth and her parents Myers and Harriet Frosher.
