Helen was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia in March of 1934 to Charles M. Hart and Cora Mae Meeks. She lived a simple life growing up on her family farm. In 1954, she married Billie J. Elder, becoming a dedicated military wife and began to start her family. She later worked and retired from the Clay County School Board.
Helen is survived by her four children, Sandra Hill, Joyce Payne, Billie E. Elder, and Keith Elder. She also has ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and five sisters, her first husband Billie and her second husband Bobby.
So as she walks through heaven's gate and is welcomed home, don't think she is far apart. For every time you think of her, she is right here in our hearts.
A visitation for Helen will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hardage - Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068, followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM, and committal services 11:00 AM at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
