Henry Paul Masters, age 81, of Middleburg, Florida passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. He was born in Elkton, Florida in 1942, the youngest of eleven children, to the late Ambrose and Ruth Masters. A proud graduate of Jacksonville University, he was an accountant by profession and owned Masters Accounting Services for 40 years where he loved serving his clients. He was one of the first members of St. Luke Catholic Church where he was a congregant for over 40 years. As a member of the Legion of Mary, he believed in the power of prayer and prayed daily for those in need. An avid reader, Paul especially enjoyed the Western fiction of Louis L’ Amour. He also loved horses and as a young boy had a cherished mule named Maude. Of Minorcan descent, he was proud of his heritage, and loved learning about history and genealogy. His kindness to everyone will never be forgotten. Nor will the love and devotion he gave to his family and friends.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Pauline Masters; two daughters, Elizabeth Cravey and Alexandra James; one son, Andrew Masters; six grandchildren, Luke, Delaney, Bianca, Giselle, Hudson, and Arabella; his brother, Thomas Masters; and two sisters, Joan Tringali and Sister Mary Ruth.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., and the Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Hardage - Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 29, 2023, at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1606 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg, FL 32068. The burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
