Herman Roberson Griffis, Sr, age 77, passed away on December 31, 2014 in Lake City, Florida. He was born in Valdosta, Georgia and lived in Clay County for 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Virginia F. Griffis; 4 sons, Robert, Donald, Dale and Herman Jr. Griffis; daughter Theresa Allen;, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2014 between 6-8 pm at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hilll Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Rd., Middleburg, Fl 32068.
