Originally from Savannah, Ga., life's pathways brought him to and kept him happily in Jacksonville, FL.
He attended college, trade and technical schools and any type of education he could get to help further his knowledge and pave the way for a successful future.
He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. Among a multitude of jobs to keep his head above water and obtain his goals, he finally found his career to be in the automotive field and was employed for many years at General Motors in Jacksonville. Even through tough times, we all know, for JC, it wasn't all work and no play. He lived life to the fullest and sometimes, well, those are stories better reserved for later.
He has been blessed with wonderful family and friends that enriched his life every day.
His footprint in this world is vast. He touched the lives of many throughout his years and held each friendship dearly in his heart. He encouraged and taught and advised because he wanted the best for everyone.
He enjoyed sharing his life's journey with others and always included details about his friends and family so that you would feel you knew them too.
He cherished his family and extended family during this wonderful life and always praised God for all the blessings, lessons, loves and experiences given to him. He was a blessed man, a renaissance man and a gentle giant.
In addition to his proclaimed "trophy wife" of thirty five years, he leaves behind his beloved daughter and her husband as well as his beloved grandson.
Ever grateful for the love they showed him, JC (Jimmy) leaves behind his sister, sis-n-laws, brothers in law, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and and his two Godchildren.
Because each and every person he knew was special to him and because it's just too hard to let him go, celebrations of his life will be held at later dates and places.
As per his wishes, his cremains will be interred at Jacksonville National Cemetery .
HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
