James W Manning

James W.(J.W.) Manning, 87, went to be with the Lord May 30, 2014 from his home in Dallas, Texas after a lengthy fight with cancer. Born October 21, 1926 to Rafe and Eva Manning in Clay County, Florida. J.W made a career in the clothing business and retired from Jim Tatum Clothing store, previously worked for the Great Southern Trucking Company. J.W. is survived by his wife, Carleen Manning, sister, Lucille White, children Leo Kinon, Kathy (Wayne) Hardee, Angela Brumley, step children, grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 4, 2014 6:00 - 8:00PM at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Rd. Middleburg, Florida. Services will take place at Beulah Baptist Church, June 5, 2014 11:00am, and interment will follow at Long Branch Cemetery. Officiating the services will be Bobby Register and Ron Kimbrell. Pallbearers will include his son, Leo Kinon and stepsons, Thomas Smith, John Davis, Donald Smith, Robert Smith and Michael Davis. Ms.Carlene, Joe and I were so sorry to hear of JW 's passing. I have always thought so much of him and have fond memories of him when i was a child. Thank you so much for allowing us to start our family at the creek. God bless you.
