James S. Scott, 85, passed away on October 28, 2014. He was born in Whitestone, GA and was a lifelong resident of Clay County. Mr. Scott was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church and is survived by his wife, Hattie B. Scott; 2 sons: Clif Scott and James Scott, Jr.; 3 daughters: Margaret Duckworth, Mary Smith and Louise Brown; brother, T.J. Scott; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Black Pond Baptist Church, 3644 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL. Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at HOLLY HILL MEMORIAL PARK, 3601 Old Jennings Rd, Middleburg, FL with Rev. Charlie Hunt officaiting.
