Janice Elaine Wilder

Janice Elaine Wilder, wife, loving mother, sister, and precious friend, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the age of 75. She was born to Merrill and Marie Glisson on August 25, 1948, in Jacksonville, Florida.

She graduated from Lee High School, where she met her devoted husband, Timothy Wilder. They were married in 1967 and had three children, Brenna, Stacey and Seth. She was baptized on July 10, 1970 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served faithfully with the Avondale, Murray Hill and Cedar Hills congregations and finally the Interlachen congregation. Her loyalty and devotion to Jehovah was evident as she spent countless hours encouraging friends and family with her favorite Bible verses and volunteering to help people know and love God more fully.

Janice’s nurturing and kind-hearted personality helped her excel as a licensed massage therapist. She also loved sewing, writing and cooking meals for her loved ones. Janice had a beautiful gift of making people feel loved and cared for.

Survivors include her sister, Gail Eilers, three children, Brenna Barkman (married to Terry Barkman), Stacey Wilder and Seth Wilder (married to Jennifer Wilder). She is also survived by three grandchildren, Dylan, Austin and Brooklyn and her niece, Robin Whetstone. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Mark Glisson and brother-in-law, Maynard Eilers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1404 FL-20, Interlachen FL 32148 on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 3:00pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. All are welcome to attend.
