Jennifer Tara Wright was born on May 30, 1976 to the proud parents Dale and Edie Holmes. From the very first moment we saw her, we knew our lives would be going on an adventure of a lifetime. Her sweet grins and smiles would engulf everything around her. Tara grew up in Jacksonville's Westside attending Oak Hill Elementary, Jefferson Davis Jr. High and N.B. Forrest High School. Her brother Jason got her a job at age 15 and she never stopped working after that. Her employment included Chuck E. Cheese, Publix, Winn Dixie and Wal-Mart.
Tara married Jody Wright on January 3rd, 1998 and took on the stressful role of a military wife. Together, they lived in Virginia and Mississippi. Tara was a proud and supportive wife during Jody's deployments and times away and in April of 2001 their son Chase Patrick Wright was born. We think of him as a sweet little miracle. Due to her diabetes the doctors were very worried about his health, but she was strong and made a beautiful healthy boy.
We've never known a more positive and motivated person. Most people would have been stressed out, but she always kept her head up and moved forward. She had to step down from positions at work due to military and transferring locations all the time, but she always went to work on time and smiled about it. Her amazing attitude and positive work ethic landed her the position of Vision Center Manager at the Branan Field Wal-Mart in Middleburg. This was a job that required either a degree or formal management experience, but someone took a chance on her and as usual, she did nothing but excel over and over.
Tara became very ill over the last couple of years and was put on kidney dialysis until they could get her a transplant. Sadly that day never came. Her heart muscle, weakened, was working too hard and the idea of a transplant was getting grim. After a horrible three months of hospital visits, surgeries and complications, we all were hoping her recovery was near. Just when it seemed to be getting better, she lost her fight. August 21, 2013 is now the saddest day in the lives of so many that loved this wonderful woman, daughter, sister, wife and mother.
Service will be held Monday, August 26, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm in the Chapel of Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Rd. Middleburg, Fl 32068.
lA SPECIAL MESSAGE
To often we get caught up in our lives
Not knowing the meaning of life itself. Tara took each day
In stride with a beautiful smile on her face. She experienced love by not one but two men that supported her thru her time of need and pain. Now she is with God, no more pain, no more suffering, she smiles upon us as the sun rises each and every day. She is in our heart and in our soul. We must continue on and live like she would have wanted us to live, with love, happiness and courage to make each day the best day of our lives. That would make her smile from the heavens above.
We send our love,
Lynn, Evelyne and Barbara
We never thought that you would leave us so soon, honey. Know that you will always be with us in our hearts and the love will just keep growing until we see you again.
Love,
Mom & Dad
Crossing the Bar
by Lord Alfred Tennyson
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.ost her fight. August 21, 2013 is now the saddest day in the lives of so many that loved this wonderful woman, daughter, sister, wife and mother.
