Mark was a Loving Husband, Father, Grand Father and Great Grand Father. He was Always thinking of others before himself. He Loved so Deep, and Gave so Much. I was Blessed to have him in my life. He made everyone laugh. There was no stranger to him. I can't express the Love I had for him, it was more than words can express! I think of him every day, and have drops of tears roll down my eyes everyday with out realizing it. God sure gained a wonderful man (my angel), and I will be waiting to join him again. I hope he is riding down those long roads full of Beautiful Trails and Flying high like a Eagle with his loved ones in Heaven. Baby Enjoy the Beauty.... until we meat again!
Love Cathy

I was shocked and saddened to hear that Smitty passed away. I met him at Dunkin Donuts and I would talk to him about my problems with my well, I would ramble on and show him pics of my pressure tank and bore him I'm sure until I felt like I could fix the problem myself. He would always listen to me and after I finally got the tank installed I had him come to look at it. He brought along his son John Ray. He didn't have to look at it for me, but him doing so showed what kind of person he was. I saw him in Walmart a few days before he passed away and even though he didn't have to, he came over to a different part of the store to meet my husband. I'm sure he was busy but he never complained. The last time I spoke with him he told me that he was so glad to have met my husband. Smitty was truly a good and kind person and I pray for God to ease his family's heart during this time. You all have a beautiful family! He wouldn't have been who he was without all of you. 😊

I am so very sorry for your loss! I was so shocked to hear of Mark’s passing and Know it has to be so hard for the family! From what I have read he was a wonderful husband father grandfather and friend! Mark and I grew up in the same neighborhood and I of course had the biggest crush on him! I remember in Jr high School I took pictures of him all the time and even gave him .50 for a pack of cigarettes to take one with me 😂He was my first boyfriend my first date and the first boy I ever kissed😊 he was a funny hyper silly goofy kid as I remember! He was one of the good memories from my teen years! I haven’t seen him much over the years and lost contact with Ricky and Penny! Please give them my condolences as well! May God keep you and carry you through the follow days as you are grieving and may your heart be filled with the love and memories you shared! So sorry I couldn’t make the celebration as I would have loved to meet his beautiful family! God Bless you all🙏

Mark always had a way of cheering people up and making them laugh! If he walked into a room and someone wasn’t smiling or laughing it became his mission to brighten their day. He so loved his wife, Cathy and his family and would go above and beyond to take care of them. We pray for peace for all of us as we continue to be strong in faith and believing that one day we will see him again in a place with no more suffering and no more pain.
Love you Mark Smith

I wasn't going to do this because I thought it's not necessary because he's my brother. Then I thought that's exactly why I need to. I love my brother! It's not necessarily what he said but it was just how he said it. Everything he said was just funny! Those of you that know him know exactly what I'm talking about. And that goofy looking face he would make with that grin he had. My heart breaks but I also know he's flying high and looking down on us. If cans of pork and beans start falling out of the sky everybody knows Mark Smith is dropping them. So soar with the Eagles or in your case the turkeys! I'll see you again and I love you!

Mark Smith was one of the most caring and giving people we've ever known , if there was ever a time we needed a hand , he was there making sure everything was ok. He was like a father to our son also , he took him on trips that I know worried him, thinking something would happen before they could get back home, but he did it anyway to just make sure John Vernon did all he could before he passed . For some reason he just couldn't tell Johnboy "no" !He was truly one of the good guys . Now I'm sure they are taking care of each other in Heaven telling all their silly stories. We will miss him dearly. We love you Ms Cathy and John Ray . Joe sends his love too .
