He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, the Dallas Cowboys and beautifying his garden. Joe was so kind and would give the shirt off his back to anyone, enjoyed dancing, Saturday mornings at Chick Fil A, Kumpares and Kumares. He was the glue that held everyone together and had a strong faith in God.
Joe is predeceased by his parents: Lawrence and Elena Bano. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Doris Ungco Miranda Bano; 3 children: Christopher Bano and his spouse, Rachelle P. Bano, Rowena Joy Bano Fusilero and her spouse, Nik Fusilero, Billie Jean Bano and her spouse, Oudone Tham; brother, Jerry Bano and his spouse, Aida Bano; sister, Elizabeth Caballero and brother-in-law, Rey Caballero (RIP); 2 grandchildren: Jaiden Noy Bano and Riley Brooklyn Bano; and a host of extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 2-5 PM at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Monday January 31, 2022 at the funeral home with funeral procession to Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL in Lane 2. Military honors will be performed at the cemetery.
