June D. Wright

June D. Wright, age 88, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 in Melrose, FL. She was born on June 14, 1932 in Eau Claire, WI to William and Pearl Ross. June was a homemaker. She not only raised her children but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. June enjoyed playing video games, doing needlepoint, and reading mystery novels.

June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold Wright, and great-grandson Christopher Eagerton. She is survived by her son, David Wright of Crestville, FL; daughters Valerie Birkenhauer of Columbus Township, MI, and Teresa "Tess" Lucas of Melrose, FL; her local grandchildren Krista Harris of Melrose, FL., and Vanessa Hewes (Michael) of Keystone Heights, FL., and four other grandchildren; local great-grandchildren Jasen Harris of Jacksonville, FL., Chelsea Traylor of Melrose, FL., Derek and Milo Hewes of Keystone Heights, FL. and fifteen great-grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her loved and cherished cat, Pussycat.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
